Living in Texas City, TX

From the Tanger Outlets and Buc-ee’s to Gulf Coast views, Texas City, Texas has it all. Built around I-45 and Highway 146, Texas City benefits from its ideal location next to Galveston Bay as a busy port home to many top employers, entertainment, and recreation.

If you're looking for new homes for sale in Texas City, you’ll find that the area is surrounded by attractions and amenities that make living here truly desirable. Texas City is home to the longest man-made fishing pier in the world, Texas City Dike. The dike extends 5.3 miles into Galveston Bay, making it one of the most popular fishing and boating spots in the Gulf. Playgrounds, hiking trails, and a disc golf course make Dike Beach into a popular spot year-round. This gulf city has several more popular recreation highlights, including 12 holes at Bayou Golf Course, the Nessler Park Family Aquatic Center, Texas City Prairie Preserve, and hosts an annual art festival.

Less than an hour away, downtown Houston offers more to explore. Just 20 minutes away, the nearby city of Galveston offers the opportunity for a quick getaway, where you’ll find education and entertainment destinations including Moody Gardens, Galveston Island State Park, and Texas A&M University of Galveston. Galveston’s Historic Strand District is home to many buildings that feature Victorian-era architecture and hosts annual events like Dickins on the Strand during the holidays and Mardi Gras Festival.

Texas City’s ideal location simplifies your commute to many large employment and education centers. Major employers accessible from Texas City include Eastman Chemical, Mainland Medical Center, Valero, NASA, and Shell Oil. University of Texas Medical Branch, Texas A&M Galveston, and College of the Mainland serves residents of Texas City who are on a path towards higher education.

What Our
Homeowners
Are Saying

10 out of 10 would recommend HistoryMaker Homes. Especially Shannon from Sales and Zach as the construction manager. Both went above and beyond to assist us during the process. Both responded even after work hours or on their off days. Shannon for example answered a call while she was attending a wedding. We closed on our house and Zach still goes above and beyond for us. He is as present as he was while the house was still under construction.

Our experience with History Maker was phenomenal. From the start with Shannon through the process with Zach, not once did we have an issue. Zach provided us weekly with updates, shielded us from things that went wrong and when something needed to be fixed he got to it right away and it was fixed within days. Most of the time we didn't even know there went something wrong because he was so quick on his feet. And we went to the site at least once a week if not more often to check on it. Zach even cleaned the construction site daily which was greatly appreciated.
