1) Live Music

A university town wouldn't be worth its weight if there wasn't a vibrant live music scene! 6) Denton County Courthouse-on-the-Square Museum

A reminder of Texas' proud history, the Denton County Courthouse was built in 1896 from limestone, pink granite, red sandstone, and tan sandstone from around the region. Today, the museum hosts lectures, exhibits, and community events, or you can visit just to see the historic building and stroll the grounds.

7) Bayless-Selby House Museum

See how Denton residents lived at the turn of the century in this perfectly preserved Victorian home. From the "music room" to the majestic bedroom suite, it is interesting to see how the well-off lived in the early 1900s.

8) Explorium - Denton Children's Museum

The Explorium's mission is to "Engage. Explore. Educate." and with roots as a travelling educational program to schools, childcare centers, and communities, it does just that. Today, this institution for kids 12 years and younger offers sensory play, parties, field trips, summer camps, and events.

9) Campus Theatre

This movie house built In 1949 is the current home of Theatre Denton, a performing arts organization that brings a variety of live productions to the community each year.
