Let's face it, things feel pretty confusing and out of the norm right now. Whether you're one of our existing customers whose home we're building, one of our homeowners, or still searching for your new home, we wanted to help you better understand the steps we're taking to keep your health and safety -  as well as that of our team - a top priority while we continue to build homes.

    Yes, We’re Open!

    In April, Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced plans to begin reopening businesses and working towards restarting our economy amid the COVID-19 pandemic. HistoryMaker Homes has been deemed an essential business since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis. We immediately implemented measures to continue working with our customers safely by working through private appointments and virtual meetings. 

    As our great state takes on the first of a multi-phased approach to getting back to normal, we think it’s important to adjust our policies to become even more accessible to you. Starting May 1, our doors are open to you with a few procedures in place to continue keeping you and our teams safe.

    Sales Centers and Onsite in Each Community

    Yes, our model homes and sales centers are open! We’re taking necessary precautions to keep you safe with the following initiatives:

    • All of our onsite staff will be wearing masks as they work with you. We ask you to wear one as well. 
    • While we are not requiring an appointment, we will be limiting the total number of people in our model homes to 10 at any one time, including our staff. This helps maintain a healthy distance. 
    • We’ll still be screening our visitors for any indication of exposure or illness. We hope you’ll understand that we’ll need to schedule an appointment for another time if you’re not feeling well or have been exposed. 
    • We will ask you to refrain from touching surfaces, but we’ll be wiping down surfaces between visits just in case. 
    • And if you prefer, we’re still ready and available to help you through a virtual appointment. We’re equipped to take you through the entire process from virtual tour to close without ever visiting our office, for your comfort and convenience.

    We're Here for You by Personal Appointment or Virtually

    If you’d like to schedule an in-person tour, we are here and happy to give you a safe and personalized experience.

    But if shopping from the couch is more your thing, there is no need to leave your home. We are also offering scheduled one-on-one video tours! We can walk you through our models and answer all of your questions virtually.

     We're available by phone, live chat, virtual tours, video calls, email, and more to meet your needs, provide resources, and ease your concerns. Construction is in progress on existing homes and we're available for private and virtual tours of models and homes.

    Construction Continues

    We understand you may have made a goal to be in a new home by the end of 2020. HistoryMaker Homes is committed to helping you still make that happen. We're continuing to build and close homes. Our construction team continues to be onsite and managing the construction of homes daily.

    • Field managers are ready to resume in-person meetings with you as we work to complete your home and will be wearing masks to provide a safe meeting environment. Please wear one as well. Of course, we’re still able and ready to meet with you virtually if you prefer. 
    • We will contact you before any in-person appointments to ask a few questions to ensure you’re not experiencing any symptoms of and have not been recently exposed to COVID-19. We can reschedule your appointment virtually if you’re not feeling well or have been exposed recently.
    • We clean each home multiple times throughout the build process. You can feel confident that your home will be ready for you and your family before you receive your keys.

    Now more than ever, we know communication is also essential. If you are currently building with us, we are committed to keeping you informed of the progress on your home weekly. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your sales counselor and field manager. We're on this journey with you and here to help answer any questions you may have.

    New Home Showroom

    We continue to encourage virtual showroom appointments with our design consultants to choose options for your home.

    We will be offering in-person appointments starting Monday, May 11, 2020. If you prefer to meet in person, the following guidelines will apply:

    • We will send you a safety questionnaire prior to your appointment to ensure you’re not feeling symptomatic, recently been exposed to COVID-19, or traveled in the past 14 days.
    • Once the questionnaire results indicate it is safe to do so, we will reach out to schedule your in-person appointment. 
    • When you arrive to our new home showroom, you will be asked the same series of questions to help ensure you can meet safely. 
    • At this time, we’re limiting in-person appointments to two adults in addition to the design consultant. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate children at this time. 
    • You will be asked to wear a mask during your appointment. Please be prepared by bringing your own. We’ll be wearing one too. 
    • We’ll also ask that you wash or sanitize your hands before starting the appointment. We’ll do the same.

    Customer Service and Warranty

    • Starting May 4, 2020, we will resume scheduling non-emergency warranty requests in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements and subject to vendor/trade contractor availability.
    • We respectfully ask that If anyone is sick or has been sick in the past 14-21 days with symptoms consistent with COVID-19, please notify your HistoryMaker customer service representative to reschedule the appointment.
    • We will adhere to federal and local social distancing guidelines, including limiting the number of people in the home to fewer than 10 total at any one time 
    • We will be scheduling all calls in the order they are received and based on mutual scheduling availability.
    • We will wear face masks while we’re in your home and we respectfully ask that you do the same.
