HistoryMaker Homes Climbs the Builder 100 List
In a much more competitive field that saw builders having to crack 400 annual sales to be included on the esteemed Builder 100 list, HistoryMaker Homes moved up four spots, from No. 64 last year to No. 60 this year.
The builder — homebased in Dallas — closed 800 homes in 2016, a 26 percent increase from the 635 homes closed in 2015.
“The Builder 100 signifies the nation’s leading homebuilders, and it’s an honor to not only be included, but to see progression up the list,” said HistoryMaker Homes CEO Nelson Mitchell. “We have continued our penetration in the Dallas-Fort Worth market and for the first time began operations in the Houston area last year.”
HistoryMaker Homes builds in 15 developments spanning the Dallas-Fort Worth region, from Fort Worth to Terrell and Waxahachie to Melissa.
In October 2016, HistoryMaker debuted in the Wright’s Landing community in north Houston. The builder now operates in four Houston-area developments.
“Since we launched in 1949, our success has been founded on building homes that offer our homeowners more living space and less wasted space at an exceptional value,” Nelson said. “It’s a platform that resonates as much today as it did nearly 70 years ago. With our continued dominance in Dallas-Fort Worth and our rapid expansion in Houston, we are poised for continued growth.”
The Builder 100 is reported annually by Builder Magazine. HistoryMaker Homes first appeared on the list in 2007 and has been included among the Builder 100 ever since.
